  The capital city of Semnan province 216km from Tehran ,on the way to Khorassan, with an amazing entrance gate .Some have named her as City of Ethics since its people are kind and polite significantly.

There is an amazing place named Forest of Cloud in Shahrood, the main city of the province. This forest is neighboring the central desert in the south and the skirts of Alborz range in its northern borders.

The province consists of large national parks and protected zones enjoying rich diversity of fauna and flora .It is  the heaven of wild life lovers. Must see places of the city are Tadayon mansion , Amir Garden, Jame Mosque and many more. Semnan is very famous for its traditional /local breads and cookies too. Fig ,Pomegranate and a large variety of Grapes are  among  the Must Try edible items of Semnan. Damghan is another major city of this province and the second city (After Rafsanjan in Kerman province  producing quality pistachio.
